[WindowsMobile] HTC Diamond2 NL RomUpdate 1.39.404.3 nu beschikbaar.

Op de site van HTC is sinds Dinsdag (26 mei) romversie 1.39.404.3 voor de Diamond 2 beschikbaar. De update is uitsluitend geschikt voor de Diamond2 voorzien van een Nederlandstalige rom. Gezien het feit dat de huidige versie 1.39.404.1 lijkt het er in eerste instantie op dat het om een kleine update gaat. In ieder geval is het niet een update naar Windows Mobile 6.5.

De nu uitgebrachte update zou in ieder geval de volgende twee updates bevatten:

•Hotfix No. 1 (5-22-09): If you move to the Settings tab in TouchFLO, the top part of the item descriptions under Communications (WiFi, Bluetooth, phone, data) are slightly cut off. If this happens, please download this hotfix to solve the problem.
•Hotfix No. 2 (5-25-09): If you can’t dial out but can receive calls through the PCCW network when roaming in HK, please download this hotfix to solve the problem.

Helaas is bovenstaande niet met zekerheid te bevestigen, omdat een changelog op de HTC-site ontbreekt. ook is onduidelijk waarom de update er alleen voor de NL versie van de pas geintroduceerde Diamnd2 is en niet voor de WWE versie

Een nieuwe rRom-Update voor de HTC Diamond is per direct beschikbaar. Volgens HTC lost deze een paar kleine, maar nasty bugs op.

De belangrijke verbeteringen staan in het changeLog aangegeven:

1. When you launch the Camera while the system is working on other programs, the preview screen may become black.

2. When playing a video, sometimes a portion of the video will be cut off a little bit.

3. Fixes Audio playback problem with the speaker. Specific issues: sometimes the music will turn off and on after 10 minutes, or there is a buzzing sound or no sound at all.

4. Fixes the problem of not being able to receive MMS when in standby mode.

5. When launching music via the Music tab on TouchFLO 3D, the sound may intermittently turn off for a second and come back on.

Verder is de slide to answer, bekend van de HD toegevoegd. Zal zelf vandaag de Rom-Update op mijn diamond installeren. Als ik nog aanvullingen heb zal ik die hier toevoegen.

Let wel: Deze update is alleen voor de HTC Diamond, en niet geschikt voor operator branded toestellen, zoals b.v. van Vodafone.

Bij het uitvoeren van een Rom-Update worden alle geinstalleerde applicaties, contacten, agenda-items, instellingen e.d. gewist. Het is dus zeker raadzaam eerst een backup te maken.

Paar dingen die me opgevallen zijn.

- Mail selectie nu via het menu

- Nieuwere versie GoogleMaps

- Java is toegevoegd

- Extra optie bij het aansluiten op de PC, naast ActiveSync en Disk mode nu ook Gedeeld Internet

Nu nog de zware taak al mijn apps weer te installeren…….. Grmmmbl, moet maar wachten tot morgen.

[Symbian] Nokia E71 RomUpdate 200.21.118 nu beschikbaar

Sinds vandaag beschikbaar, update 200.21.118 voor de Nokia E71, de wijzigingen zijn in onderstaand changelog te vinden.

Updaten gaat eenvoudig middels de update-functie in de Nokia pc-suite. Om al je instellingen en geinstalleerde apps te behouden, is het raadzaam om voordat je de update start een backup te maken, b.v. op de geheugenkaart. Na het voltooien van de update is het terugzetten van deze backup voldoende om direct weer met je E71 te kunnen verder werken.
